Founded in 1886, the buzzing city has had a long, winding history that has shaped Johannesburg into the the city that it is today &#8211; the city of fortune and opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>What was once a small settlement, Johannesburg expanded into a city that continues to grow until this very moment. As the heart of South Africa, Johannesburg is also home to many iconic events in the country, namely the Rugby World Cup in 1995 and the FIFA Soccer World Cup just to name a few. With moments like this, it&#8217;s impossible not to be attracted to the City of Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p><b>About the City of Johannesburg EMS\u00a0Bursary Programme<\/b><br \/>\nThe City of Johannesburg has been in works with a policy entitled &#8220;The Youth Development Policy and Strategy&#8221; for quite some time. The purpose behind the formation of this policy is to bring out the potential of their local communities by supporting them through the government&#8217;s available resources and financial funding.<\/p>\n<p>Joining hands with the Emergency Management Services, also known as EMS, the Johannesburg government is granting bursaries to 20 Johannesburg youths who have shown outstanding studious capacities. Grantees awarded with this bursary will be entitled to an all-expenses paid tuition and registration fees, as well as coverage of their prescribed learning materials.<\/p>\n<p>The bursary caters to undergraduate students who are attaining: 1) a National Diploma in Fire Technology at the University of Technology; 2) a Bachelors Degree in Emergency Medical Care at the University of Johanesburg, and; 3) a National Diploma in Emergency Medical Care at the University of Johanesburg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The City of Johannesburg EMS Bursary Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nBefore you can apply for the City of Johannesburg EMS Bursary programme, all candidates must adhere to the following criteria mentioned below. Fulfilling the eligibility criteria is a crucial part of the application, so make sure you don&#8217;t miss out on any requirement. To see what kind of people the programme is looking for, do take a look at their <a href=\"https:\/\/joburg.org.za\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Johannesburg EMS Bursary programme requirements include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holding a valid South African citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Must be of 17-25 years old<\/li>\n<li>Is physically healthy to partake their studies<\/li>\n<li>Has an astounding academic track record &#8211; at least a D grade in the subjects of Mathematics and Science<\/li>\n<li>Able to show proof of financial assistance (e.g. has a household income of less than R15,000)<\/li>\n<li>Is responsible for their tertiary education<\/li>\n<li>Capable enough to pursue their studies at any of the two chosen institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nKeen on applying for the City of Johannesburg EMS Bursary programme? However, participants are to submit in these items below to the bursary programme:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your latest academic transcript<\/li>\n<li>Valid documentation of your South African identification<\/li>\n<li>Documents showing your residency in the city of Johannesburg<\/li>\n<li>Documents showing your household income.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After pertaining all of the aforementioned documents, you can now finally submit them to the City of Johannesburg EMS Bursary programme!
