About Hillside Aluminium – Engineering Bursaries 2020-2021
Hillside Aluminium is offering Engineering Bursaries towards young students who are pursuing their Undergraduate Degrees and Bachelor of Technology (BTech.) With a limited number of bursaries made available, the Hillside Aluminium Bursaries is mainly allocated towards students who are based in the area of King Cetshwayo District. Earlier on, it is mentioned that the bursaries is available for Undergraduate Degree students and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) students. The courses made available for each study level are as follows:

Undergraduate Degrees

• Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
• Metallurgical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering

Bachelor of Technology (BTech)

• Chemical, Electrical (H/C)
• Mechanical Engineering.

On top of your application forms and documents itself, your success of the application procedure will also be based on the interview conducted by the committee and also a certificate of fitness. You may also have this bursary renewed on a yearly basis, provided you are able to maintain your already impressive academic track record as well as keeping your conduct in check all the time.

Undergraduate Requirements:

• Currently studying in their Grade 12 year
• Or, has finished their Grade 12 studies with flying colors with Level 6 scores in the key subjects of English, Physical Science, and Mathematics (Core
• Planning to pursue their studies in an accredited university
• Must be attaining a full-time degree.

Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Requirements:

• Must be studying in either a Electrical (H / C), Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering course.

All incoming applications will be evaluated based on the candidates’ academic potential and their need for financial assistance. Furthermore, you may just be considered for an assessment programme if you show great performance in your studies.
